At CW Academic and Career Strategies, LLC we help bright, success-oriented students and professionals realize their potential and feel empowered to achieve their goals. 

 

We provide the tools needed to meet today’s challenges through motivation, self-assessment, feedback, and encouragement. Our services are designed to address the challenges and opportunities encountered during transitions from high school to college and beyond. 

 

To us, it is essential that individuals discover their own learning style, be proactive, and develop self-confidence to grow and achieve success. We aim to see our clients fulfilled, motivated, and with a sense of purpose.

Throughout her career, Cynthia has mentored, advised, and motivated individuals who are applying to college, searching for a job, or changing careers. As founder and president of CW Academic and Career Strategies, LLC, Cynthia is dedicated to helping students and professionals find their inner voice, best present their personal stories, and maximize their potential.

Cynthia is an active volunteer mentor for the Corning Community College Diversity Center, serves on the board of a local swimming club, and is an active member of Toastmasters International. Raised in Puerto Rico, Cynthia is fluent in both English and Spanish.

Cynthia Rivera obtained her B.A. in History from Cornell University before earning her law degree from the University of Virginia School of Law. While attending Cornell, Cynthia worked as a student recruiter with the Undergraduate Admissions Office and was a Rhodes Scholarship Nominee. At the University of Virginia, she was a student member of the Admissions Task Force.

She currently works with the Admissions Office of a Top Ten Law School as a file reader, reviewing and assessing hundreds of law school applications.
